How to Delete MySQL Database in cPanel

In this article, you will learn to delete MySQL database in cPanel, begin by logging in through the admin link provided by Voxfor. Once logged in, you’ll be directed to the cPanel dashboard, where you can easily access various management tools. To delete a database, use the search bar in cPanel to find “Manage My Databases,” then select it to view and manage your existing databases. Follow the steps to delete a database, such as “helpvoxfor_testdb1,” and confirm the action through the dialog box.

Login cPanel:

Start by login into the cPanel dashboard, you will need to visit the admin link (ex: https://example.com:2083).

After clicking “Login,” you’ll be taken directly to the cPanel dashboard, where you can manage your website and hosting settings. The dashboard provides easy access to all the tools and features you need.

Search Manage My Databases

In cPanel, enter “data” into the search bar to quickly find the “Manage My Databases” option in the dropdown menu. Click on “Manage My Databases” to access tools for managing your databases.

After clicking “Manage My Databases,” you’ll be redirected to the Manage My Databases screen. This screen will display multiple options for managing your databases, such as creating, deleting, or modifying them.

On the “Manage My Databases” page, scroll down slightly to view your existing databases. Here, you can delete any database you wish. In the example provided, I will demonstrate how to delete the current database named “helpvoxfor_testdb1” as shown in the image below.

After clicking the “Delete” button, a confirmation dialog box will appear. To proceed with the deletion, click “Delete Database” in the dialog box.

You will see a confirmation that the database “helpvoxfor_testdb1” has been successfully deleted. The database is no longer listed, indicating that the deletion was successful.
